As the new year begins, I’m taking today to announce a few things I’ve got planned for this year and this blog. When I started this party in October, I had posts scheduled for twice a week. At the time, I had a few clients, but not quite enough for a full 40 hours a week. I was also marketing myself and my business as more of a “virtual assistant.” Time moved on, and my client roster doubled and my niche developed to work with more start-ups and provide small business support. Two posts a week became a struggle, and finding great content to post relating to organization and being productive was getting harder and harder. So, around Thanksgiving and when my posting schedule went to hell, I decided that in 2017, I was only going to post once a week. I’d rather post great content than post something just to meet a self-set quota. When it comes to content, I’ll still be posting ways to be more productive, but I don’t want to limit myself, either. I’ll be expanding to other areas relating to business and entrepreneurship. I’ve previously described myself as an “amateur sociologist,” and I think a big part of how we get things done involves not only ourselves but also how we relate to others. I want to explore more of that. I’ve always been active in my community, and have a few things planned this year to do more. I’m passionate about women and equality. Look for more from me relating to women’s rights and other philanthropic issues I’m involved in or support. One more thing: every month, I’ll be posting a Regular Round-Up. I’ll report on goals, events I went to, if I’m in the news anywhere, other random things that didn’t warrant an entire post but are still worth mentioning, etc. My first Regular Round-Up will coincide with my new website (out at the end of this month). I’m excited to show it off! Here’s to 2017 being our best year yet...You can subscribe to my mailing list here. You can also follow me on Twitter or Pinterest.
